24th December. Our family gathered at the grandma's. Grandma cooked all her Tan family specialties like the black sauce duck. Basically it was a pot luck. Everyone bring something to eat kind thing. And so we ate. Nothing much this year though. Apparently the uncle and aunties aren't so much in a mood to stay up till 12 am to even wait for christmas to arrive. By 11 pm, they tired out and starting leaving one by one. -.- And the teenagers being the victims follow the families back as well. Sad Christmas. But age caught up I guess. Understandable yet tragic fact. Anyhow, woke up early the next morning for mass. Then went for some mamak stall for breakfast. And then I went back home to catch up some rest while my parents and sister went to my grandma's hse. I was real bored. Nothing much to do. About 6pm, I went over to granny's. Cousins, Benjamin and Ryan was practically bored to death. For teh sake of killing time, they played badminton and trying hard to avoid hitting the little kiddies heads off. I had the same trouble when I join them as well. Then came dinner time. Ate at a seafood restaurant, went back to grandma's hse for a while. Gossip and just talk alittle more. Talk about random stuff. We went from Australia to Malaysian topics. >___> Typical family talk. Then once again by 11pm, everyone's back home. Haish.. like I said. Pretty sad Christmas. Read Tania's blog recently and agree totally to her post about how especially we the teenagers are begining to lose our chrismas mood. The excitement for christmas isn't there anymore. Reading her post really reminded me how Christmas would be the ebst time our the year. And now, it's just like any ordinary day. Sigh, may CNY be much much better. And how, it's good that the family does come and meet each other once in a while, especially seeing the progress of the little ones growing up. Haha. Random pictures below. Enjoy.

Being a Dog Keeper. * Warning Spoilers for Bolt Inside*

Bolt tells the story of a dog who is convinced that his role as a super dog is reality. When he is ripped from his world of fantasy, and action by his own doing.

His own obsession with his owner and keeping her protected from the green eyed man of the television show he works on completely absorbs his life.

This takes him to the point of no return when he believes that she has been kidnapped, and he accidentally gets packaged and shipped to New York city in pursuit of his owner.

This is when the story unfolds, and he goes through a transitional period where he learns that he is as super as every other dog. His disbelief of his abilities being non existent fuels a lot of different emotional changes, and eventually comes to a reality of who he really is.

This all culminates when he finds his owner and reunites with her in the action packed climax of the movie.

My Comments:

It wasn't really the type of movie I wanted to watch. At first glance, there's no need for further thought, but it's a child's movie. My sister wanted to watch Beverly Hills Chihuahua, which I strongly against. -.- Call me a bad brother or whatever but it's certainly a no to that. So my mum suggested Bolt because Bolt looked a little like Kimiko (my dog's name FYI) save for the spots on her and her ears that doesn't stand up. Other than that, it's a rather good replica of her. And so it was decided and the movie is to be watched. Though I was really dying to watch Ip Man... T____T And my rating for Bolt, shall be 9/10. The movie humour rating will be 8/10. I think Madagascar 2 had better jokes. In Bolt, they didn't have super spy penguins but they had weird yet forgetful pigeons. They manage to pull off some whacky jokes nevertheless. Especially the part how they instructed the poor dog to get his cute head out of the bar. Yet even so Penguins still beat the Pigeons. Penguins rule. The story does touch a dog keeper's heart. *if you do love your dog as if it's a part of the family* I was rather touched. The story raises the feeling of losing your dog and somehow made me realized how I would really miss it . Apparently it did have a strong impact on some girl at the back of the cinema. She was practically sobbing in the cinema. Poor girl must have lost her dog and it never came back. =\ But anyhow, I would recommend the movie to anyone who loves their dog like a part of his/her family. =)

Random Pics:

'Flying Rhino'. Haha, cute guy.

I love this pic. =)

Here are some websites Aziff gave me. Entertaining and possibly frightful facts for some people which phobias for arachnids or insects. Ah, nevertheless God, you're a real good joker for creating them this way.

The 6 Deadliest Creatures( That Can Fit in Your Shoes)

6 Endangered Species That aren't that Endangered Enough

The 6 Biggest Assholes in the Animal Kingdom

Go with the flow.

It's confirmed. Maybe it was too hard to believe. But it was expected. So much for trying to convince myself. I'll just go where the river takes me. After all, things are much better that way. I'll move along.

Like a rare flower, they are most beautiful when they are left as they are. Once picked, they are so fragile, easily wilt, and requires ALOT of attentions. Something you would love to have, but so difficult to manage. Once in your life, it may give you the biggest feeling of completion. One that may acompany you through the hardship and the easy times. OR everything may be vice versal. Worth the time? Worth the sacrifices you are bound to make? This isn't just mere hobby. It's a commitment. It's all about perceptive.

George Carlin

George Carlin - comedian of the 70's and 80's - wrote something so very eloquent...and so very appropriate..

A Message by George Carlin:

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways
, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...

Remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side..

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent..

Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.

Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

How amazing are we?

How special are we anyway?

How are we different from animals?

How is this sense gonna differentiate us from animals?

Are we really the only one who can 'rule' the rest of the species in the world?

I doubt so.

I hate the fact that we are the only species who kill our own species for whatever the reasons.

I hate the fact that we are the most intelligent creatures, yet all we create were only designed to destroy or grab what's not ours.

I hate the fact we have much knowledge to share yet we do not share it all for the sake of worrying others may go further than us.

I hate the fact that we are trying to turn our world into something we desire or considered 'perfect' when everything were perfect the way HE created it.

I hate the fact that we do at times do things that we 'think' or 'feel' is right when it hurts so many people and we don't really care.

I hate the fact that there are such amongst us who think trust really is something we can use and manipulate others to do things their way.

I hate the fact that we have something called racism and sexism when no men or women is not the same in their ways.

I hate the fact that people use religion to cover for what they do for. 'Destroying infidels' and 'killing non-believers' . Eg. the Mumbai terror outbreak and the Bali bombers who killed more locals then the tourist and they dare say they kill infidels. In the end who really is the wrong one? The religion or the people? For making such a peace-loving religion into something the world now looks so badly down at, are these people or the religion at fault?

I hate the fact that men are the only ones who falls for bribery and corruptions.

I hate the fact that when something really needs to be changed for the better, people reply by saying "This is reality". Yet this reality that these people talk about is something that can be done but is just a little more difficult to be changed or that it was said impossible before even attempted.

I hate the fact that some women does abortion when the child were the parents' mistake. Even if, they were accidental. A child never chooses his/her parents. They were gifts and blessings for the parents.

I hate the fact that men tries to act as god. Trying to make things 'better'. Hybrid creatures and half-man animals. More like trying to see how horrifying it would be, should there be such creatures alive.

In the end, who were we to even touch or do anything with nature?

Are we really destined to lead the world and it's inhibitants to a better future?

By still allowing Japanese to hunt whales even though these gentle creatures are on the verge of extinction?

Allowing countries like America to still buy20 years supply of these fossil fuels to be sold to other countries till it's dried clean and which by then we all may not know but the world may be flooded or so hot that we can no longer live on land thanks to global warming*?

*(Some phenomenal which was now claimed to be a false fact by some scientist perhaps hired by America to continue their sale of oil in the name of the green devil (money)) ?

Now that's reality. That's us, Humans.

"Can any civilization wage relentless war on life without destroying itself and without losing the right to be called civilized?" - Rachel Carson

AS is freaking over and yet holidays seems so far... Yes i know it's in a week time but still!!! College after exams??? And still got test and what not. OMFD... I'm seriously going nuts.

Ah well.... but at the very least our class managed to go out for the weekends. Hehe. We went to Sunway and this time in history, more people went for the outing. Nice work PM3. Heh, some unity we have ... Haha, ah wells, still love these people. So yea, Faris, Nishanth and I went there at 4pm. We were suppose to meet up at 3pm yet there were still nobody insight. Malaysian timing I guess. Called Miri and were told to wait by Wendy's. Hung around there like 3 lost mice. Faris sat next to Ronald Mcdonald. He was so bored that he tried speaking with Ronald. Though Ronald wasn't friendly enough to bother about Faris trying to speak to him. At the very least he nvr stop smiling. XD

We were finally met up by Vithya who were lingering around with Chun Sien, Chee Kin (and another one or two fellas whom I can't rememeber). Then came Deepaa. We reserved some spots in Wendy's for the others who might or might not come. Ended up in The Manhattan Fish Market. Nice seafood I would say. Food burned right before served in front of us is something new. Haha. Too bad I din get a picture of that. Oh, I've forgotten! This whole outing was a birthday surprise for four people. But only 2 made it. Nevertheless, Happy belated birthday to Jiun Xian, Amrit, Ezmir and Chen Han. =DD

Took us more then 15 minutes to decide on what to eat. >___>

Still looking through...

Still looking...

Ordered. XD

I can't recall the name.. it's some flaming fish or something like that. Well that's coz it's literally burned before served. Flamed Fish. Nice name.

Le cake! =D

Happy birthday?? Looks like some same-sex marriage.

"You may kiss the bride/bridegroom" which ever... u decide.

Ezmir with his proud gift. =D

Any idea what's in there yet??

Here's a nice clue. =D

Lots of stuff in there. Lol... Ezmir is well equipped for the night. XD

Amrit checking out his prezzie too.

It's a spare. There's writting on the glass btw. It says "Break this during emergency" You get the joke.

Faris caught checking it out.

Faris trying to explain that he was just curious

We didn't believe him.

The remaining pictures are just random pictures:

Post-birthday cake cutting.

A picture with Santa and Santarina. This was before entering Fish Market.

Dumb and Dumberer? Lol... Jz jk. haha... But the picture is funny. Just had to put this up. Haha
